Director Mira Burt-Wintonick discusses her new film Wintopia about her late filmmaker father Peter Wintonick, dubbed "Canada's documentary ambassador." This issue also features first looks at films debuting on the 2020 festival circuit amid COVID-19, including Ariel Nasr's The Forbidden Reel, which restores Afghan film history, and Sam Soko's Softie about the "Kenyan Bernie Sanders."
